چکیده

We represent a classical Maxwell-Bloch equation and related to it positive part of the AKNS hierarchy in geometrical terms. The Maxwell-Bloch evolution is given by an infinitesimal action of a nilpotent subalgebra n+ of affine Lie algebra ŝl2 on a Maxwell-Bloch phase space treated as a homogeneous space of n+. A space of local integrals of motion is described using cohomology methods. We show that hamiltonian flows associated to the Maxwell-Bloch local integrals of motion (i.e. positive AKNS flows) are identified with an infinitesimal action of an abelian subalgebra of the nilpotent subalgebra n+ on a MaxwellBloch phase space. Possibilities of quantization and latticization of Maxwell-Bloch equation are discussed.

Field Theory for Coherent Optical Pulse Propagation

We introduce a new notion of “matrix potential” to nonlinear optical systems. In terms of a matrix potential g, we present a gauge field theoretic formulation of the Maxwell-Bloch equation that provides a semiclassical description of the propagation of optical pulses through resonant multi-level media. We show that the Bloch part of the equation can solved identically through g and the remainin...

Numerical Simulation of 1D Linear Telegraph Equation With Variable Coefficients Using Meshless Local Radial Point Interpolation (‎MLRPI)

In the current work, we implement the meshless local radial point interpolation (MLRPI) method to find numerical solution of one-dimensional linear telegraph equations with variable coefficients. The MLRPI method, as a meshless technique, does not require any background integration cells and all integrations are carried out locally over small quadrature domains of regular shapes, such as lines ...

Mean value theorem for integrals and its application on numerically solving of Fredholm integral equation of second kind with Toeplitz plus Hankel ‎Kernel

‎The subject of this paper is the solution of the Fredholm integral equation with Toeplitz, Hankel and the Toeplitz plus Hankel kernel. The mean value theorem for integrals is applied and then extended for solving high dimensional problems and finally, some example and graph of error function are presented to show the ability and simplicity of the ‎method.

Maxwell-Bloch equation and Correlation functions for penetrable Bose gas

We consider the quantum nonlinear Schrödinger equation in one space and one time dimension. We are interested in the non-free-fermionic case. We consider static temperature-dependent correlation functions. The determinant representation for correlation functions simplifies in the small mass limit of the Bose particle. In this limit we describe the correlation functions by the vacuum expectation...

On the Corotational Beam Element Formulation in Large Deformation Analysis

This paper sheds more light on the co-rotational element formulation for beams with uniform cross-section. The co-rotational elements are commonly used in problems in which a structure undergoes a large deformation. In this study, the foregoing element obeys the Euler-Bernoulli beam assumptions. Unlike the formulations presented in the literature, in this paper, a number of local nodal coordina...
